HOW TO BECOME A STUNT OFFICIAL

To officiate in California for High School Competitive Sport Cheer (CSC – STUNT), California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) requires a minimum number of training hours, which CASOA and USA Cheer provides.

CASOA Membership and completed USA Cheer certification is required in order to gain access to training and assignments for high school and club games.

STUNT Officials Payments for 2024:

  • High School – officials receive $50 per game
  • Club – officials receive $35-45 per game
  • Tournaments – officials receive $35-45 per game

 

STEP 1: USA CHEER CERTIFICATION WITH TRAINING & COMPREHENSIVE EXAM

STUNT Official Membership and Certification is required.

  1. Login to your USA Cheer account or Join USA Cheer.
  2. Renew or Join as a STUNT Official ($50). Note that if you have a current “Cheer Coach” or “STUNT Coach” membership, you will need to add the “STUNT Officials” membership.
      • USA Cheer Waiver
      • Current Background Screening
      • Current Athlete Protection Training
  3. Complete the following requirements within your account to access your USA Cheer member card.
  4. Current STUNT: Officials Course (free for STUNT Officials Membership or $20 for any other member) – Available now!
  5. Go through the providing training and take exam. Pass the exam with an 80% or higher to receive the USA Cheer STUNT Officials Certificate of Completion.

 

STEP 2: CASOA ADMINISTRATION

Complete the following:

  1. CASOA Membership Application
  2. CASOA Officials w-9
  3. Current USA Cheer Membership Card
  4. 2024 USA Cheer Officials Certification (have a PDF copy available for upload).

  • Log into your USA Cheer Account
  • Find Member Home
  • Click +Member Area
  • >My Profile >Certificates
  • Scroll down >STUNT Official
  • Click Certificate symbol >STUNT: Officials Course
  • Save as PDF

 

STEP 3: CASOA MEMBERSHIP & TRAINING

Valid January 1st – December 31st.

  • CASOA Membership Fee – $75
